You can only have two of these, they said.
I never believed it.
1. Make a lot of money
2. Help a lot of people
3. Have a lot of fun
The logic goes: pick your two and sacrifice the third.
Want to make money and help people?
Fine. But you won’t enjoy the ride.
Want money and fun? Sure.
But you won’t leave a dent in anyone’s life.
Want to help people and have fun?
Great. Just don’t expect to get paid well for it.
I spent many years proving that wrong.
Because I refused to accept a scoreboard someone else designed.
The men I work with now are smart, successful, and quietly miserable. They chose money. They’re good at it. But #2 and #3 got filed under “later.”
Later turned into never.
All three are available to you. At the same time. Right now.
But only if you stop playing by rules you never agreed to.
Which one have you been told you can’t have?
