We never stepped off a helicopter without knowing the objective. Never.
In Special Forces, before any operation, the team commander asks one question:
“What’s the mission?”
If anyone hesitates, the operation doesn’t launch.
Most entrepreneurs launch their entire week without that briefing.
They wake up, check email,
and let the world set the agenda.
They’re not on a mission.
They’re on a treadmill.
I used to do the same thing.
Then I built a drill that changed how I run every week.
I call it the Mission Clarity Drill.
Five minutes. Every Sunday. Three questions:
1. “What is the objective for the next 7 days?”
— one sentence, written down
2. “What does success look like by Sunday night?”
— three measurable wins
3. “What’s my single Big Rock for tomorrow?”
— non-negotiable
The weeks I’ve skipped this drill are the weeks I look up on Friday and wonder where the time went.
Not because I wasn’t busy.
Because busy without direction is just noise with good intentions.
Five minutes on Sunday changes that.
📌 What’s your mission for the next 7 days?
