Special Forces taught me one thing that transfers to everything: Show up before the world wakes up.

Also, don’t be an idiot about your body.

I spent years in Dutch Special Forces.

Nobody handed me a snooze button.
Nobody handed me a juice cleanse either.

Just cold starts, heavy loads, and the expectation that you show up functional.

Wild concept, I know.

I quit drinking in 2015.
Best decision I ever made 💪

Second best was moving to Andorra.
Zero traffic. Zero excuses.
Lots of mountains. Nowhere to hide.

The mountains don’t care that you’re tired.

Romaniacs definitely didn’t care.
(That race tried to kill me. I came back anyway.)

I’m 52. I ride MTB in the Pyrenees.
I do pull-ups facing the ocean like some kind of deranged action figure.

I’m fitter now than I was at 25.
25-year-old Robin would be embarrassed.
He should be 😆

Most men spend their 40s optimizing their portfolio and completely ignoring the body carrying it around.

Then wonder why they’re tired, foggy, and running on cortisol and coffee.

Your body is the primary weapon system.
You wouldn’t show up to a mission with a rusty rifle.

So why are you showing up to your life with a rusty body?

Every morning is a small war.
Win it first. Win everything else after.

Are you maintaining your weapon system?

PS: Enjoy this?
