Special Forces conditioned me for one thing above everything else: Force.
Assess. Plan. Execute. Push until it’s done.
It works in combat.
Then I tried to build a life that way.
A marriage. A business. A relationship with my daughter.
The harder I pushed, the more resistance I created.
Then I found the research of David Hawkins: Power vs Force
The difference changed everything.
📌 Force:
– Operates from fear and control
– Creates resistance in everything it touches
– Depletes the person applying it
– Demands compliance
✅ Power:
– Operates from clarity and integrity
– Creates alignment
– Generates energy instead of burning it
– Earns trust instead of demanding it
Force is loud. Power is quiet.
Force is what most high-performers know.
Power is what most of them never learn.
Because Special Forces made me effective in a very specific context.
And I took that same energy into everything else.
Most high-performers never make this transition.
They keep applying combat-ready force to situations that are asking for something completely different.
Then wonder why they keep achieving
and still feel like they’re losing.
The unlearn was harder than the learn.
