Most men would rather spend another year optimising their business than one honest afternoon looking at their life.
And then wonder why the wins feel hollow.
I did the same thing until 2009.
Then my body forced the redesign.
Here’s the 8-part blueprint I walk every coaching client through.
It’s the same one that built mine.
1. Set clear life goals, run the Anti-Vision first
– Most men don’t know what they want. They only know what they don’t want to stop.
– Map your nightmare life first, the version where you hit every financial goal and lose everything else.
– The 5 Freedoms missing from that picture are your real goals. If you can’t describe the life, you can’t build it. You’ll just keep building someone else’s.|
2. Find your purpose, the practical kind
– Purpose is the problem you still enjoy solving on the worst day of the week.
– When work gets heavy, purpose is what doesn’t let you quit. It’s also what separates busy from meaningful. And busy is the new lazy.
3. Double down on what’s working, be the 80/20 Sniper
– Stop chasing shiny. Stop spraying ammo.
– In Special Forces, we learned that 4% of actions drive 64% of results. Look at what actually produced your last 12 months. Do more of that. Cut everything else.
4. Master Deep Work, protect the 4 hours that matter
– Most of your stress isn’t from work. It’s from switching.
– Four hours of undistracted focus beats ten hours of reactive chaos.
– Urgency is the enemy of important. Everything feels urgent. Nothing important gets done. Guard the block like it’s the mission, because it is.
5. Design your environment, engineer the outcome
– Your space runs the program.
Phone on the desk = you scroll.
Messy desk = messy thinking.
– Stop relying on willpower. Remove the decision, and the discipline takes care of itself.
6. Use the AED System
– Automate what repeats. Eliminate what doesn’t matter. Delegate what doesn’t need you.
– Freedom starts the day you stop being the bottleneck in your own business.
7. Run the Sunday Summit
– Every Sunday, three questions: What worked? What didn’t? What drained me?
– Big Rocks First. Everything else fills the gaps. This is how you course-correct before burnout forces the correction for you.
8. Build scalable systems
– A dream life can’t depend on your daily energy. One hour a day is 4% of your 24.
– Spent on the right system, compounded over a year, that’s the difference between a business that serves you and a business you serve.
Your body is the platform.
Your systems are the operation.
Your calendar is the mission.
None of this is complicated.
It’s just uncommon.
Because most men would rather optimize their business for one more year than audit their life for one honest afternoon.
