You can probably relate to this: Yesterday my wife and I were watching a movie on Netflix. 20 Minutes in I think:
“Wait… have I seen this before?”
By 30 minutes, I was certain.
That’s how forgettable it was.
That’s how insignificant that time became.
Now imagine this:
You meet someone for the second time.
They tell you the exact same story as before.
You’d notice instantly, right?
“Oh no, not this story again!” 😃
Most of us aren’t running out of time.
We’re drowning in insignificance.
Think about it:
• Endless Zoom calls that move nothing forward
• Mindless doomscrolling past midnight
• Netflix binges we won’t remember next week
Time isn’t the problem.
Time is the enabler.
We all get the same 24 hours.
But here’s what we sometimes forget:
Your life is not measured in years.
It’s measured in memories.
When you’re 80, sitting in your rocking chair,
What will you remember?
• That series you binged?
• Those social media arguments?
• The gossip you engaged in?
Or will you remember:
• The goals and adventures that challenged you
• The moments that defined you
• The impact you made
Your life is a movie in the making.
You’re the director.
You’re the main character.
You’re writing the script right now.
Tell me: Is it any good?
Don’t let your life become that Netflix show you can’t remember.
Make it epic.
Make it meaningful.
Make it memorable.
We don’t retire on money alone.
We retire on memories.
Make them count.
– Live more.
– Love more.
– Create stories worth telling.
Your life’s movie is playing right now.
Make it one you’d watch again and again.
