This week, my 18 year old daughter drives me crazy.
But I guess I had it coming. She said:
– “You didn´t even work out yesterday, dad….”
– “There is no law that says that you can only work out 1x per day, dad…”
– “If we leave tomorrow at 0500…do we work out before that, dad…?”
“Dad, dad…..DAD?”
It´s like I hear myself talking….at the most inconvenient times, hahaha.
Leyla is on a Mission here on Bali.
Work on her online business
Work out
Eat
Repeat
“Who made this psycho?!?”
The lesson here, for you and me both:
Your kids watch you. Constantly.
They copy you.
What do you want to see in your kids?
Be that way.
–
There is a funny flip side to that coin.
Ask any parent:
“What do you wish for your kids?”
They will likely tell you: “I just want them to be happy”
“And successful?”, you ask.
“Yes sure, would be nice, but mainly happy”
And what do they do themselves?
Grind 24/7 😃
There is a time for grinding and hustling. For sure. I get that.
It´s just not ´fulltime´, right?
–
Anyway, here´s how it works out for us:
– I am a strong follower of the 4% Rule.
I work out at least 4% of my time daily (1 hour): heavy weights, bodyweight exercises and/or HITT. And so does my daughter.
– I eat healthily. So does she.
– I deep work 4 hours a day. So does she.
What would you like your kids to copy from you?
PS: Enjoy this?
