Stop being just an Actor in someone else’s movie.
You actually have 4 roles in this masterpiece:

– The Director:
You choose where to focus, what to emphasize, what story to tell.
Every scene matters. Every moment counts.
– The Producer:
You decide where to invest your resources – time, energy, money.
What gets funded (with time and money) gets done.
– The Scriptwriter:
You create the narrative. Define the character arc. Choose the plot points that matter.
– The Actor:
You show up. Deliver your lines. Live the story you’ve created.

But here’s what I see with the people I coach:
Sofar, they have been making a movie about….. business.
It’s just about all they do.
Who they are.

Everything else becomes a subplot, everyone else just bystanders.
One-dimensional.

And they feel it. That disconnect.

That nagging sense there must be more.
“Is this the successful life I was promised?”
They did all the steps: studied, worked, climbed the ladder, started their own business, took chances… and succeeded.
In one area: Money.

Only to look behind them and see the wake of destruction:
– Health in shambles
– Relationships ignored
– Purpose screaming for attention

So what happened?
We focused too long on just one aspect of our lives.

I’ve been there. I know how it feels.
2004: Working crazy hours to get our business off the ground.
Struggling to break free from the gravitational pull of mediocrity.
Through sheer luck and an insane amount of work, we succeeded financially.
YEAH!

Only to realize… it’s not as advertised.
There is no “happily ever after” this way.
15 Kilos overweight. Grumpy black cloud. Only work.

When our daughter was born, I knew it was time for a pivot.
Take control.
Think about what I want out of life (in all aspects)…..and act towards it.

Re-define success.

If you don’t script what you want your life to look like… you’ll end up financially successful but utterly unfulfilled.
The hero in a movie you didn’t direct.

But you won´t feel like a hero.
You´ll feel hollow.
One-dimensional.

The good news is: you’re not just the actor.
You have a say in what your life looks like.

Think about the movie you’re making.
Is it any good? Are there areas needing improvement?

If so, do this exercise today:
Write down your ideal ending in each area:
– Health
– Relationships
– Purpose
– Wealth
– Personal Growth

For each area, answer:
What scenes need to change?
What resources (Producer) need shifting?
What story (Scriptwriter) needs rewriting?
What actions (Actor) need taking?

It’s your movie.
Your masterpiece.
Your story to tell.

Time to start directing.
