My wife asked me, “Would you ever go back to being 15 kilos overweight?”
I said “Probably not.”

“Probably”: because life happens—sometimes you never know.

“Not”: because I’ve learned how to take care of my body.

I don’t rely on motivation. I’ve solved that problem.

– Stopped drinking alcohol 100% over 10 years ago
– I built consistency (hard part), and I devote at least 4% of my day to working out (1 hour per day)
– I made eating healthily part of my identity (harder part)

The skill I reactivated that changed it all:

Discipline.

The skill of working out and eating healthily, even when you don’t feel like it.
(sounds kinda silly when you explain it like that)

So no, I’ll “probably” never go back to my old habits again.

PS: About the pic: In 2008 I loved BBQs, rum colas, and hardly worked out.
And it showed 😃 From Special Forces six pack to beer belly, back to six pack.
