I love AI, but today we did a ‘good-old-fashioned’ photoshoot for our Cacao brand, here in Bali. 4 Reasons using AI was absolutely NOT an option for me:
1. Authenticity isn’t negotiable for me
Our customers don’t just buy our ceremonial cacao.
They buy into our story.
Our journey.
I won´t let AI fake that.
2. Family memories are priceless
Watching my wife Manon and daughter Leyla Coenen model like pros
These moments?
Worth more than any efficiency gain
Memories are the real currency in life
3. I love working with true professionals: they create magic
– Wangsa Films behind the lens. Vania Ars working her directing genius
The kind of talent AI can’t replicate
4. Ahhhhh…..Bali as our backdrop
– Nature that takes your breath away
– People who warm your heart every time
– Weather that makes every shot golden (even in raining season 😃 )
Now, if you follow me, you might think:
“Wait, isn’t this the guy who always talks about working less?”
Plot twist:
I vote for working differently.
Today we “worked” 4 hours. (Yeah, crazy, right? 😆 )
But it felt like play.
– Created memories.
– Generated energy.
– Expanded horizons (especially Manon and Leyla 😄 with their modeling debut)
The goal isn’t to stop working.
It’s to build a life you don’t need, or even want to escape from.
What part of your work feels like play?
Because that’s the part you should double down on.
