“I don’t have time.” The ultimate lie we tell ourselves. 🤥

“I don’t have time.” The ultimate lie we tell ourselves. 🤥
So I did something radical a couple of years ago.

Tracked every 15 minutes. All hours of the day.
For two weeks straight. 14 full days.
No cheating. No exceptions.

The results? Horrifying. Enlightening.
Transform-or-die motivating.🤯

Nowadays I have all my coaching clients do a version of the same.
There is something magical in seeing how you actually spend your time on paper.

I registered this ugly truth:
Netflix/Prime/HBO: 18 hours
• Goal-aligned? No
• Energy-giving? No
• Reality check: That’s over 2 workdays

Social media: 11.5 hours
• Goal-aligned? No
• Energy-giving? Hell no
• Reality check: Over 1 workday of idiotic thumb scrolling

“Quick” phone checks (mainly checking email without handling the issue): 11 hours
• Goal-aligned? No
• Energy-giving? No
• Reality check: More than one workday

The math was brutal: 40.5 hours of life. Gone.
In just 14 days. Never coming back.

That’s when it hit me:
We don’t lose time. We give it away.
In 15-minute donations. To things that don’t matter.

The wake-up questions:
• Does this bring me closer to my goals?
• Does this give me energy?
• Would I advise my best friend to spend time this way?

Your calendar isn’t lying. It’s the brutal truth-teller.

Want to be shocked?
Track every 15 minutes.
Add two columns:
Goal-aligned? (Y/N)
Energy-giving? (Y/N)
Watch patterns emerge.
Feel change become inevitable.

Because here’s what happens:
You can’t unsee it. You can’t pretend anymore.
You can’t hide from yourself.
Probably you will adjust your behaviour within the 2 weeks itself.

Your calendar is a confession. Of what you truly value.
Of what you really believe.
Of who you’re becoming.

What’s yours saying about you?

What action will you take today to reclaim your time?

PS: About the pic: Most people don´t lack time, but intentionality and focus. Training for Mt Kilimanjaro next week with my daughter Leyla 💪

PPS: I’m looking for 3 people who are ready to upgrade their energy, focus, and income over the next 4 months—without burning out or bulldozing their personal life. If you’re curious, just DM me “Tell me more” and I’ll send the details.
