I can’t stop thinking about what I read in the book ‘Deep Work’.
Every distraction from work costs me:
17 minutes of productivity.
Crazy, right? 🤯
Every external distraction:
– Co-workers asking a question
– Notifications
– Phone calls
Every internal distraction:
– Quick messages to or from friends
– ‘Checking something online’
– Walking to the fridge… again
There are dozens and dozens every day, right?
No wonder we feel busy but nothing important gets done.
Let´s face it: There is a lot of talk about AI replacing us.
But it just means we need to do more deep thinking.
In a world designed to distract us more and more.
So, what is today’s superpower?
Deep work.
Look, there are a lot of productivity ´hacks´ out there.
But if I can give you only one: Learn to do Deep Work.
Useful tips:
– Crucial: think about what you want to work on the evening before
– Schedule a block of time (like 45 minutes) and set a timer
– Design your space so you won’t be interrupted (inform other people if needed)
– Put your phone in another room (I’m not kidding, this makes all the difference)
– Only work on one task
Like going to the gym: the more you do it, the better you get at it.
I’m always amazed at how much I get done.
At least 4x the output.

Because we spend way too much time doing inefficient work,
Which leaves less time for your spouse, kids, friends, and living your best life full of adventure. The stuff you really value.
So the formula = Get more done in less time.
