For most people ´getting older´ sucks. Life gets boring. Time speeds up. Here is the secret to fixing that:

Let´s first review the actual problem.

What most people see as the Most Memorable Moments in Life:

– First kiss
– First relation
– Significant physical feat
– First car
– First vacation without parents
– First hangover
– Launching first company
– First home
– First job
– First child
– Earning the Green Baret 😃

You probably agree with this, right?

If you would list them all, you would come to a startling conclusion:

Over 80% of the Most Memorable Moments take place in a timeframe of roughly 15 years (15-30 years).

In about 20% of your time on Earth.

These moments are High Impact and you would describe them as ´time prolonged´.

Your wedding day ´took longer´ than an average working day, right?
And filled your Memory Bank, right?

What most of these Moments have in common?

Novelty.

The first time.

As you get older, you tend to stick to the ´same old, same old´

We´ve ´seen it all, done it all´.

That is, of course, complete and utter BS.

We just stay in our comfort zone. And time speeds up. A lot.

As quoted in the book ´The Power of Moments´ (recommended reading) by Dan Heath:
“We feel most comfortable when things are certain, but we feel most alive when they´re not.”

How to overcome that? Simple.

Keep adding new activities to your routine.

– Cross the Sahara in a buggy
– Volunteer to clean out rivers on Bali
– Skydive from a hot air balloon in Bagan, Myanmar
– Run a first marathon at age 60
– Learn to ski at 50

Get creative.

Keep stacking those First Experiences.

Live your Epic Life of Total Wealth.

You´ll get younger (not older) every day.
