“Dad, were you always this fit?”

“Dad, were you always this fit?” My 18-yo daughter just found a 2009 photo. Me, 15 kilos overweight. The “successful” business owner.

Making money? Sure.
Fully living? Not really.

Just a few years before, I had Special Forces six-pack abs.
Now I had a six-pack of beer waiting in the fridge. 😄

What happened?

Simple:
– I chose business over health.
– Success over vitality.
– Short-term over long-term.

Standing there in 2009, looking at my 2-year-old daughter, it hit me:
“Is this the example I want to give her?”

NO WAY.

The Journey Back:
• Made health non-negotiable
• Quit alcohol (2015 – best decision ever)
• Daily movement (no excuses)
• Real food (not food-like products)

Today, at 51:
• Six-pack: ✅
• Energy: Through the roof ✅
• Example for my kid: Proud of it ✅ we work out together all the time

Was it easy?
Hell no.

Did I fail?
Multiple times.

But here’s what Special Forces taught me:
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about never stopping.

Quick Action Item For You:
– Write down ONE health habit you’ll start tomorrow.
– Just one.
– Make it small. Can be just 1 push up per day.
– Make it doable.

But make it non-negotiable.

I can tell you this:
– Your business success means nothing if you’re not healthy enough to enjoy it.
– Your relationships suffer when your energy drops.
– Your decisions weaken when your health fails.

Want to know the real secret to sustainable success?
It starts with taking care of your weapon: YOU.

What’s your ONE health habit going to be?
Drop it in the comments. Let’s keep each other accountable.

Because you don’t want to be that person with all the money but no energy to enjoy it.

Trust me, I’ve been there.
The view’s much better from here.
