A month ago, in a hotel in Doha, this alarm clock tried to destroy my self-worth. Here´s how I fixed that.

Just look at how HUGE the ‘Snooze button’ is.

I learned from optimizing websites for the best user experience:
“Make the function you want people to use (or they will use the most) as big and obvious as possible.”

Apparently, it is: “Break commitments you made to yourself.”

Undermining your self-image every day.

Do I always want to get out of bed early in the morning?
Hell no. I know what it is like.

But at these times, a simple rule comes to my rescue.

I learned it from reading the book ‘The 5 Second Rule’ by Mel Robbins.
As you might have guessed from the title…

Whenever you don’t want to do something (like get out of bed),
count down: “5, 4, 3, 2, 1,” … and just do it.

There is a whole study behind it, but the most important thing: It works!
(And it is super simple)

Give it a try.

Beat the Snooze Button 😉
