A friend convinced me to try out a video game. ´It´s a first-person Shooter, you´ll love it.´ I knew I would suck at it.

Here I am: 51 years old, never played any video game in my life, except Mario Bros a couple of times back in the 90s.

I sucked at it then….and still do.

Even worse:
I somehow had the idea that I was supposed to be good at this….you know….being a former Special Ops guy and all.

So my ego got involved. Bad news.

A thought hit me after this humbling (short) experience:

In video games, you’re the Main Character.

Sadly, in life, most people choose to be NPCs (Non-Player Characters).

Think about it:
NPCs:
• Follow programmed routines
• React to predetermined triggers
• Stay in their assigned zones
• Never challenge the system

As an active player:
• Your skills are upgradable
• Your path is customizable
• Your storyline is unique
• Your resources are renewable

But here’s the crazy part:
You’re not just meant to be an active player.

You’re actually the game developer.

That’s right – you have admin privileges to your own life.

THE FULL GAME ARCHITECTURE STEPS:
1. Break Free from NPC Mode
– Stop running others’ scripts
– Question preset objectives
– Leave your comfort zone

2. Activate Player Mode
– Choose your avatar and attributes
– Select meaningful quests
– Build strategic alliances
– Learn from failures and try again

3. Access Developer (Architect) Mode
Your new admin privileges include:

a. Character Development:
– Design your core values: Who do you want to be?
– Program daily habits: You are what you do
– Choose ‘Must’ over ‘Should’

b. World Building:
– Create growth environments
– Design personal challenges
– Build reward systems to keep you motivated

c. Relationship Engine:
– Debug toxic connections: Get rid of energy vampires
– Upgrade your network
– Build deep, meaningful alliances (i.e. family and friends)

d. Purpose Mechanics:
– Write mission statements for your life
– Create passion projects to make your heart leap
– Design legacy achievements to be proud of

e. Resource Management:
– Be happy, healthy, and wealthy
– Give back and contribute

Remember:
• NPCs wait for instructions
• Players follow missions
• Developers create realities

The Game of Life has three levels:
NPC → Player → Developer
Most never make it past level 1.
Some reach level 2.
Few realize level 3 exists.

You’re not just playing the game.
You’re not just choosing the character.
You’re writing the entire code.

The question isn’t “What level are you on?”
It’s “What reality are you creating?”

How much Time, Physical, Mental, Social and Financial Wealth do you want?

Your life’s source code is open.

Time to start programming.
