A few weeks ago, at a Special Ops reunion, no one touched their phone. Except for this 1 guy.

His teenage daughter.

Asking if her dad could please come home.

He had just been ´out of the country´, working for 6 weeks. She missed him.

“I shouldn´t have come”, he tells me.

Like the 4 hours spent with friends is the real problem.

This is the actual problem:

His life is not aligned with his true priorities.

It´s kinda sad, but I see it all the time.

It´s a struggle.

Maybe you even recognize it.

His real 3 priorities?
– Health
– Family
– Friends

What does he do?
Work. All the time. 24/7.

I know this disconnect. I´ve been there.
You just keep going. Thinking it´s the way to go.

Till something breaks.
Really breaks.
Beyond repair.

– Your physical or mental health
– Your relations
– Your Zest for Life

And then comes the Hard Pivot. Hopefully.

How about you Pivot now…
Pre-emptively, like I did…
and save yourself a world of pain.

Commando motto:
Nunc aut Nunquam
Now or Never

Pivot Now, not Later….certainly not Never.

You´ve got this.

PS: Let me help you with a simple 3-step process to determine your life priorities:
Ask yourself these key questions:
– What brings me genuine joy and fulfillment?
– What would I regret not doing or achieving when looking back on life?
– How do I want to be remembered?

Do this reflection exercise:
– Write down everything important to you
– Group similar items together
– Look for patterns and recurring themes
– Consider which would have the most meaningful impact

– Validate your choices:
– Imagine giving up each potential priority
– Notice your emotional reaction
– The ones that feel most painful to lose are likely your true priorities

Ask if these align with your core values and long-term happiness

– Want to dig deeper?
