When Leyla came back from a book publishing conference in London. She walked through the door buzzing.

Not because she’d picked up a new tactic
or sat through a good presentation.

But because she’d seen it.

She’d been in a room where generating multiple seven figures a month from publishing books was just… normal.

Where people talked about those numbers
the way you and I talk about monthly expenses.

Not a year. A month.

I’ll be honest, even I had to sit with that for a second 😆

It reminded me of something Oliver Wendell Holmes said over a hundred years ago:

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.”

And once you’ve seen that, you can’t unsee it.
The ceiling you’d quietly accepted as realistic, it’s gone.

Your sense of what’s possible gets permanently recalibrated,
and you carry that new normal home with you.

I see the same thing happen with every entrepreneur I coach 1on1.

They come in with an invisible ceiling:
– A number they think is achievable
– A lifestyle they think is available to them
– A version of themselves they’ve decided is the finished product.

Three months later, that ceiling is gone.

Because I stretched what they believed was possible,
and the mind doesn’t shrink back from that.

Leyla didn’t need me to explain any of this to her.

She lived it in a conference room in London at eighteen years old.

That’s the real value of putting yourself in the right rooms.

📌 When was the last time you were in a room that made your current ambitions feel genuinely small?
