“You did not come this far just to come this far”
Love this phrase.
But it might be keeping you stuck.
Because here’s the question nobody asks after they say it:
Far toward what, exactly?
Most people I know have come incredibly far.
– further than their parents
– further than anyone in their circle expected
– further than they once thought possible
And they’re completely miserable.
Not because they gave up.
Because they kept going, in the wrong direction.
Persistence without clarity isn’t strength.
It’s just expensive stubbornness.
The goal isn’t to keep moving.
But to keep moving toward something that actually matters to you.
Not your industry.
Not your parents’ definition of success.
Not what looks impressive at a dinner party.
Yours.
I spent years going further and further,
further from my health, further from my family,
further from the life I actually wanted.
I was very committed.
Completely lost.
Don’t confuse momentum with direction.
The hardest reset isn’t starting over.
It’s admitting you’ve come very far,
down the wrong road.
📌 How far have you come and is it actually toward where you want to go?
