“Dad, this is crazy. Let’s do it.” May 2020. World locked down.
Sitting on my bed, staring at my then 12-year-old daughter Leyla.
Both of us realizing we were about to commit to something insane:
Working out together.
Every single day.
No end date.
What followed was:
• 1,000+ workouts together
• 3+ years of consistency
• Countless “What the hell are we doing?” moments
We sprinted up apartment staircases.
Built a gym in our living room.
Did bodyweight exercises until we couldn’t move.
But here’s what we really built:
– Not just muscle.
– Not just endurance.
We built unbreakable memories.
Picture this:
• 6 AM, both half-asleep
• Her: “Dad, this is stupid”
• Me: “Yep. Let’s do another set”
• Both: Laughing through the pain
Now she’s in a different zone.
Different schedule.
Different goals.
But those memories?
They’re our shared battle scars.
Our legacy.
Here’s the truth most “successful” people miss:
– You can’t buy back time.
– You can’t schedule spontaneity.
– You can’t outsource memories.
The only reason these memories exist?
One decision I made in 2009:
Design my income around my life.
Not my life around my income.
Most people:
• Chase money first
• Promise family time “later”
• Miss the small and big moments
Different approach:
• Design the life you want
• Build the income to support it
• Create memories now
One decision.
Huge impact.
Lifetime of memories.
To the entrepreneurs reading this:
Your calendar reveals your priorities.
Your memories?
They tell your real story.
What story are you writing today?
