I realized this yesterday, looking at old photos:
One day, you’ll put your child down and never pick them up again.
There’s a moment coming in your life that you won’t notice until it’s passed.
The last time you’ll carry your child to bed.
My daughter, now running her own business at 18, once fit in my arms.
When did that last carry happen?
I don’t remember. I was probably checking emails while doing it.
This hit me hard, and I need to share why.
We track everything in business:
• Revenue milestones
• Growth metrics
• KPIs
• Quarterly goals
But we never track last moments.
Because we can’t. They slip by silently.
This isn’t about guilt. It’s about awareness.
Put down your phone. Pick up your child.
Even if they’re “too big.”
Especially if they’re “too big.”
Because one day, they will be.
PS: Enjoy this?
