My LinkedIn reach has been falling off a cliff these last couple of months. And I know exactly why. It’s not the algorithm.
I keep telling everyone to delete all social media apps from their phones.
– My coaching clients
– My newsletter subscribers
– And even in my LinkedIn posts 😆
Yes, I see the irony.
Yes, it’s probably bad for business.
Yes, I’m essentially digging my own grave
But, I’d rather have less reach and more impact than chase vanity metrics while my clients stay stuck in the endless scroll of doom.
So yes, my reach is down.
And yes, I’ll keep telling everyone to delete their apps.
(This post was written from my desktop computer,
Because guess what’s not on my phone anymore 😉)
P.S: Reminds me of late 2025: Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with my (then) 17-year-old daughter Leyla Coenen.
No phone for 9 days. Total Phone Fast. Loved it.
PS: Enjoy this?
