83 years ago today, 48 men made a choice that still humbles me.
Their homeland was occupied.
Their families left behind.
Their future uncertain.
Yet they stepped forward.
No. 2 Dutch Troop wasn’t born in victory.
It was born in the Netherlands’ darkest hour.
These men:
โข Left everything they knew
โข Traveled to Scotland in secret
โข Endured brutal Commando training
โข Faced impossible odds
Their motto?
“Nunc Aut Nunquam” – Now or Never
Think about that for a moment.
Itยดs 1942.
When everything was lost…
When failure seemed certain…
When most would have given up…
They chose ‘Now.’
Not tomorrow.
Not when conditions improved.
Not when it was safe.
NOW.
Sometimes when I face a challenge in business or life, I think of these 48.
Because they teach us:
โข Greatness is born in the darkest moment
โข Impact requires sacrifice
โข Change demands action
โข Legacy starts with 1 choice
To those 48 madmen who dared to dream when dreams seemed foolish:
Thank you.
Your courage didn’t just help liberate a nation.
It shows us, even today, what’s possible when we dare to act in the face of uncertainty.
48 men.
One choice.
Infinite impact.
Now or Never
